- Type your text in a colour that's easy to see. It will automatically be on its own transparent layer.
- Make a new transparent layer, and use the paintbrush tool to put brushes wherever you want.
Hint: You can make a new transparent layer for each brush if you feel you might need to change or delete some, or you can put them all on one layer. It generally makes things easier if you do the brushes in the same colour as the text.
- Merge together all the layers that you want to put the gradient on (usually right click top layer-> merge down).
- Right click this merged layer and choose alpha to select.
-Make a new transparent layer, and use the blend tool to drag a gradient across the selection you just made. You will need to change the preset options to rainbow, or whatever kind of colours you want.
Hope this works for you, if not, just say exactly what happens when you try, and I'll have a go at figuring it out lol.
